Google Includes Twitter Updates in Its Search

Google announced that it will include Twitter’s tweet updates in its search result as announced in Official Google Blog.

“Given this new type of information and its value to search, we are very excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results. We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months.”

Yahoo Search Is Now Powered by Microsoft Bing

The Internet is taken by surprise as Microsoft and Yahoo partnership has finally taken place. Microsoft will now power Yahoo! search while Yahoo! will become the exclusive worldwide relationship sales force for both companies’ premium search advertisers. The term of the agreement is 10 years.

Microsoft launched Bing, its new search engine on June 1, 2009. Surprisingly, Bing gets quite a lot of rave reviews from TechCrunch, CNET and Lifehacker. However, there are some others who think otherwise, that includes Pocket-lint.

Yahoo To Partner Google in Search Advertising

Yahoo and Google have confirmed that they are entering into a partnership for search advertising. Google mentions that the deal is not a merger but rather, Google are merely providing access to their advertising technology to Yahoo! through their AdSense program.
